These terms form the agreement between you and UnloadPal ("we", "us") for the use of unloadpal.com, the client portal and our virtual assistant service. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
1. About these terms
These terms apply together with our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data. If anything in a separate written agreement between you and us conflicts with these terms, the separate agreement applies.
2. The service
UnloadPal is a remote virtual assistant service. Once your subscription is active, you submit tasks ("orders") through your client portal by uploading any files and writing your instructions. Our team completes the work and uploads the finished document or documents to the order page.
Each order has its own page with a chat with our team and a version history of everything we deliver. You can request revisions on any order from that page.
We provide administrative and support work of the kind a virtual assistant does remotely. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, medical or other regulated professional advice, and our deliverables should not be treated as such.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity in your account. Tell us straight away at hello@unloadpal.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- An account is for one client (an individual or a single business). Please don't share it or resell the service to others.
- You must be an adult with the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. Subscription & payment
- Price. The plan costs 30 OMR (Omani rial) per month.
- How to pay. You can pay online with a debit/credit card or a PayPal account, processed by PayPal, or by bank transfer. PayPal charges the equivalent amount in US dollars (shown before you pay); your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
- Activation. Online payments activate your subscription automatically once PayPal confirms them. Bank transfers are activated by our team once we have received the payment. You can submit orders from that point.
- Renewal. Each paid period lasts one month. Online subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel them. With bank transfer, pay the next month's fee before the current period ends. If a renewal payment is not received, your subscription pauses at the end of the paid period, and you won't be able to submit new orders until it is renewed.
- Price changes. If we ever change the price, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will only apply from your next period after the notice.
Apart from the money-back guarantee below, fees already paid for a period are not refundable, including for periods in which you submitted few or no orders.
5. Unlimited tasks & revisions
Your subscription has no cap on the number of orders you submit or the number of revisions you request. So that this works fairly for every client, the following applies:
- Tasks must be ones a virtual assistant can reasonably do remotely, using the files and information you provide.
- We handle orders in the order they are received. For large tasks, we may give you a realistic delivery estimate or suggest splitting the work into stages.
- Revisions cover changes to bring a delivery in line with your instructions, or reasonable refinements to it. A request that changes the task substantially may be handled as a new order.
- We may ask for clarification or missing files before starting, and the order waits until we have what we need.
6. 7-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment. Email hello@unloadpal.com from the address linked to your account; you don't need to give a reason.
We refund the payment to the account it came from, and your subscription ends when the refund is issued. The guarantee applies to your first payment only, not to later renewals.
7. Acceptable use
This includes, for example, tasks that involve or promote:
- alcohol, or other intoxicants;
- gambling, betting, lotteries or games of chance;
- interest-based (riba) lending, investment or financing schemes;
- adult, indecent or otherwise immoral content;
- fraud, deception or misleading others, such as fake reviews, forged or falsified documents, or impersonation;
- academic cheating, such as completing assignments, essays, exams or other assessed work on behalf of students;
- defamation, harassment or content intended to insult or harm others;
- anything else that is illegal in Oman, or that infringes another person's rights, including copyright and privacy.
We decide at our reasonable discretion whether an order falls within this policy. We may decline an order at any stage, including after work has started, and we will tell you on the order page when we do. If you are unsure whether a task is acceptable, ask us before submitting it.
Repeated or serious breaches of this policy may lead us to suspend or close your account under section 13.
8. Your content & ownership
- Your materials. You keep all rights in the files, instructions and other material you give us. You confirm that you have the right to share them with us for the task.
- Licence to us. You give us permission to store, copy, edit and otherwise process your material only as needed to complete your orders, provide the service and meet our legal obligations.
- Deliverables. Once the subscription period in which an order was delivered has been paid for, you own the finished work we create for you in that order and may use it as you wish.
- Third-party material. Where a deliverable includes third-party elements (for example fonts, templates, stock images or tools you asked us to use), those elements stay subject to their own licence terms.
9. Confidentiality & privacy
We treat your files, instructions and messages as confidential. We use them only to do your work and run the service, and we don't disclose them to others except our service providers or where the law requires it.
The team members who work on your orders see only an automatically generated nickname for you, never your real name, contact details or profile. Only our account admin sees real identities, for billing and support. Everyone on our team is bound by confidentiality commitments. Our privacy policy gives the full details.
10. Files sent by email
If you prefer not to upload through the portal, you can email documents to hello@unloadpal.com, mentioning your order number. We add them to that order, and the task is tracked in your portal like any other. Files emailed without a valid order number may be delayed while we match them to your account. Email is less secure than the portal, so please use the portal for sensitive documents where you can.
11. Your responsibilities
- Give clear instructions and the files and information needed to complete each task.
- Review deliverables before you use or send them, and request revisions where something isn't right. You are responsible for how you use the finished work.
- Keep your own copies of important files. We keep order files while your account is active, but the portal is not a backup service.
- Don't try to identify or contact individual team members outside the portal, and don't misuse, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
12. Limitation of liability
We carry out every order with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, the service is provided "as is", and we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a deliverable will achieve a particular business result.
To the extent permitted by the law of Oman:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity or data;
- we are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information or files you provide, or by your use of a deliverable without reviewing it;
- our total liability to you for all claims arising in any month is limited to the subscription fee you paid for that month.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of Oman.
13. Cancellation & termination
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time by emailing us or from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can keep submitting orders until then.
- Open orders. We aim to finish orders submitted before your subscription ends. Your delivered files stay available in the portal while your account is open.
- Our right to end the service. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, including the acceptable use policy, or where we are required to by law. Where the breach is not serious, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- Closing your account. You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time. Deletion follows the timelines in our privacy policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. We'll always try to resolve a disagreement with you informally first, so please contact us. If a dispute can't be resolved that way, it will be settled by the competent courts of the Sultanate of Oman.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the portal before they take effect. If you continue using the service after that, the updated terms apply; if you don't agree with them, you can cancel as described in section 13.
